Dragonfly Moon Quilt Pattern

Graceful willows frame a trio of dragonflies flirting with the moon. Strong simple shapes combine with a variety of appliqué techniques to make this contemporary wall hanging a delightful yet easy project to stitch. The techniques include a variation of traditional satin outline appliqué for the wings, bonded techniques for the leaves, and an ultra-light fusible interfacing is used for the perfectly round moon. Keep it simple or add a bit of machine or hand embroidery or other embellishments (such as beads for eyes) for a special touch. Learn double mitering for the borders.
