The Quilted Lady

Categories: , , Tags: ,

This lovely little quilt is a favorite of mine. It all started with a shopping bag from the early ’70s that was saved for many years before being adapted to the “Quilted Lady”. She hung in the LaConnor Quilt Museum under the sponsorship of the (then) curator Rita Hupy. When Rita retired in 2006, the Lady retired as well and came home to stay. After requests from the museum, the Quilted Lady became a pattern. The original is hand quilted, but she could certainly be machine quilted if that is your preference.
