Pumpkins Rustica Mini

Who could resist all the beautiful wool felt and wool felt blends available these days? Not me! This was a fun project to design. The larger, threepumpkin, sample is done by hand. The smaller single pumpkin sample is done by machine and there are even directions to make a bonded appliqué version made with regular cotton quilt fabrics. The background can be a running stitch by hand with or without French knot accents or a simple triple straight stitch by machine. Pinking shears add interest to the inner border and, on the machine-stitched sample, the outer edge.
